Cala Carbo beach

Cala Vadella, Ibiza. One of Ibiza’s most private little beaches.

Location: 10 minutes drive from San José, 5 minutes from Cala Vadella
Facilities: Loungers, parasols, restaurants
Activities: Relaxation!
Size: 50 metres long, 50 metres wide
Getting there: Reached only by car, follow signposts from San Antonio or San José, direction Cala Tarida and Cala Vadella. There’s limited car parking a short walk from the beach but it can get tricky to find a place at weekends in peak season.

Cala Carbo is one of Ibiza’s most private little beaches. Turn left at the signpost on the San José to Cala Vadella road (behind the turning to Cala d’Hort, just before you reach Cala Vadella) and a narrower road will take you to a small, sheltered sandy cove surrounded by rocky, pine clad hills. The beach is a combination of sand and pebbles that shelves gently into clear water. The rocky coastline that extends from the sand is great for kids to scramble over, whilst fishing off the small jetty is a more tranquil activity. Good moorings are available for private boats.

BEACH BARS AND RESTAURANTS:

There are two very popular restaurants offering good food, especially seafood and paella; Chringuito Playa Cala Carbo and the newer addition La Sardinia Loca (‘The crazy sardine’). They’re very popular on Sundays with the locals so you may need to book then.
