Cala Leña beach (Cala Llenya)

Santa Eulalia, Ibiza. A quieter beach, with a wide curve of fine white sand in a valley of sloping pines.

Location: 10 minutes drive from San Carlos in the North East of the island
Facilities: Loungers, parasols, showers, toilets, drinking water (agua potable), bar, restaurant, lifeguards, access for the disabled
Activities: Pedalos
Size: 190 metres long, 60 metres wide
Getting there: Reached only by car, follow signposts from San Carlos. Plenty of free parking under shady trees.

Cala Leña beach has a wide curve of fine white sand in a valley of sloping pines. The sea bed is sandy with the odd rock, and the water shallow for some way out.

Even in peak season this is one of the quieter beaches, popular amongst families and nice to spend a full day on, as there are plenty of sheltered picnic spots amongst the pines. The walks among the urbanisations are in pretty landscaped gardens and woodland.

Tip: Anita’s bar in San Carlos is the perfect end to a hard day at the beach, and lies directly at the turn off (in San Carlos) for the beaches Pou d’es Lleo, Cala Boix, Cala Lleña, Cala Mastella and many more.

BEACH BARS AND RESTAURANTS:

There is a restaurant with beach bar which, among other options, serves a very tasty paella (to be ordered in advance when you arrive at the beach).
