Es Figueral beach

Santa Eulalia, Ibiza. Beautiful shallow waters and fine sandy beach backed by rocky terrain – popular amongst holidaymakers.

Location: 10 minutes drive from San Carlos

Size: 350 metres long, 5-50 metres wide
Getting there: Reached by car or bus, follow signposts from San Carlos. There is a little parking at the beach, people also park along the road.

Just a few minutes drive from Aguas Blancas, Es Figueral is not unlike its more Bohemian neighbour in terms of stunning scenery. The sea and surrounding cliffs are equally as imposing, but the ambience is totally different. Here you will find several all-inclusive hotels and a much more resort-like atmosphere, with many more visitors than locals (often Spanish and Italian) and many more facilities, shops and bars. It’s also much more accessible to visitors with limited mobility, with disabled access and public bathrooms.

The beach itself offers an expanse of lovely soft sandy beach backed by rocky cliffs, with beautifully shallow waters, perfect for children, and views over to Tagomago, a privately owned island. On the far left end some people also practice nudism.

Tip: Anita’s hippie bar in San Carlos is the perfect end to a hard (!) day at the beach, it is situated directly opposite the church at the turn off for the beaches Pou d’es Lleo, Cala Boix, Cala Lleña and Cala Mastella, Es Figueral and many more. You might also like to catch the tourist train rolling through the picturesque landscapes of the North, which leaves Es Figueral once a week in summer or take the ferry to Formentera to enjoy a day on Ibiza’s paradise sister island.

Beach bars and restaurants

There are two restaurants on either side of the entrance to the beach, including Las Dalias Chiringuito, a beautiful beach bar with great airy spaces to dine delicious health-conscious food.
